TMC Cancela manufacture agricultural Mulching Toppers for the worldwide market. With all design and construction taking place in-house, this gives a very high quality finished product far outweighing any competition. Manufactured with the strongest materials and most advanced technical resources with over 30 years experience.

HEAVY DUTY AGRICULTURAL & FORESTRY MULCHING TOPPERS

KEY FEATURES EXPLAINER

HARDOX®

TMC Cancela utilise high strength, performance steel in the manufacture of a number of mulching toppers. This steel is developed for tough environments whilst being lighter and far stronger than mild steel.

FLEXI® STEEL

For TMC CANCELA, quality is never enough. In our toil for continuous improvement, we decided to go one step further and create a special steel to offer a plus in the structural performance of our equipment.

ALE (High Strength Steel)

The steel has two main parts in their behaviour, the elastic and plastic. The elastic part is a steel enabling a deformation and subjecting this to recover its initial properties. When we apply a force in the steel and it crosses the line between elastic and plastic, it will be deformed permanently. Each steel has a load value in the passing of the elastic to the plastic zone. The high strength steels have a high values in this load. The A.L.E. cold forming steel has a yield stress value (point from which appears the deformation), which duplicates the value of a traditional steel. TMC Cancela incorporates A.L.E. steel in the frame of its machines to provide an extra quality, avoiding cracks and breaks in the most demanding working conditions.

HDX (Wear Resistant Steel)

HDX is a steel that has many composition elements which give excellent properties against abrasion and wear without compromising important steel factors such as bending and welding. The wear-resistant values double the lifetime of the steel. Wear-resistant TMC Cancela steels are utilised on parts that are in direct contact with the ground, such as skids, plates, inner shells, counterblades.

FLOW UP

Flow Up is a cutting system consisting of blades that create suction of the material (grass, brush etc) in the back part of the cutting area, ensuring a better and cleaner cut. These blades are assembled to a concave plate with bolts and bushes. The special shape of the rotor ensures optimum sliding as close to the ground as possible without damaging the topsoil. Assembled in the range of rotary brush cutters intended for green spaces, large areas and farming.

DUAL SPEED

System that allows to change the input speed configuration in the gearbox interchanging the position of the pulleys. With this system we can work with different tractors and change quickly the input speed in the machine. With PTO to 540 rpm we get a leverage ratio in the pulleys (the bigger pulley is the drive one). With 1,000 rpm input we need a reduction ratio for obtaining the same rotor speed. In this case the drive pulley is the small one. This system ensures the work with any type of tractor and switch from one speed input to another quickly.

FTS (Fan Transmission System)

A fan system attached to the large drive pulley, it helps to remove heat from the drive pulleys and drive belts

ESB (External Shaft Bearing)

Built-in system applied to the side extension shafts of the gearbox and drive lines. The bearing of the transmission extension is positioned on the side of the frame ensuring a very close distance between the pulley and this bearing, reducing dramatically the bending in the shaft. This will increase the life of the shaft, reduce the bearing load and consequently also decrease the temperature in the drive line.

SIDESTEP

System for overcoming obstacles. The pulleys surround plates are rigid and the reinforcement fairings make a wedge effect ensuring the lateral rigidity while avoiding obstacles snagging during work. This system reinvents the pulley/drive housing that did’nt really give any protection. With the sidestep, any side impacts that happen during daily work do not cause any damage or inconvenience to the drive system.

BOLTOP

System for assembling the hammers to the rotor with special socket connection between bolts and lugs. The bolt head is completely embedded into the lug ensuring a precise fit, preventing rotation and loosening. The bolts are 10.9g quality and Ø27 mm with lock nut. This is the most robust assembly system on the market for swinging hammers, ensuring no bolt breakage and avoiding downtime.

FLOAT

Damping system incorporated in the three point hitch of the agricultural mulchers with lateral parallelogram displacement, which enables the decoupling of the tractor linkage and the adaptation of the machine to the ground. This system eliminates the traditional bolt joint which was very problematic and created many breaks and deformations. This new system makes a three point hitch much more robust according to expectations and demands of the machine. A double advantage is obtained with this device: acts as a damping system and reduces the impact on the frame of the machine and on the tractor lifting arms, especially when driving at high speed during road transportation.
